At the end of the day you count the cash in the till, set aside your bank deposit, and leave the rest as tomorrow’s float.

Close the session

1

Start closing the till

2

Count the till by note and coin

Enter how many of each note and coin are in the drawer. TwinePOS shows the total you should have (opening float plus the day’s cash sales).
3

Explain any difference

If your count doesn’t match what TwinePOS expects, you’ll be asked to add a short comment before you can carry on. The difference and your comment are saved for your manager.
4

Prepare the bank deposit

TwinePOS works out your deposit (what you counted, minus the float you’re keeping) and suggests which notes and coins to put in the deposit bag — for example 2 × €50, 3 × €20.It sends larger notes to the bank and keeps smaller notes and coins in the till, so you have change for tomorrow. It only suggests notes and coins you actually counted.
5

Confirm the deposit

Take the deposit out of the drawer and confirm. Whatever is left becomes tomorrow’s opening float.
